Halo 3 Action Figures – Grunt
Just like every other creature in the Halo Universe. The Grunts have a purpose and they can at times hold their own. The name is fitting because that is exactly what they are. They are Grunts.The whole purpose of the Covenant Grunt is to absorb as many human bullets as possible. They are the front line and they are expected to die first.
As Halo progressed, the developer brought more life into each Covenant species. The Grunts became comical, often shouting phrases like a heckler at a comedy show as you mowed them down with you bullet hoses. One single grunt was never a challenge but they can become difficult in large packs. Some even jump through hula hoops. They favor the neelder which can be devastating at close range and they also love to throw the plasma or sticky grenade although they were never really good at hitting you with them. In Halo 3 there was the occasional suicide grunt that would come running at you with a detonated sticky grenade in each hand. The Grunt was a fun adversary and no Halo action figure collection would be complete without a Grunt or two.
